Born in 1931, Salim Bhai, son of Janab Allah Bax, was a visionary and a deeply principled man whose life was rooted in craftsmanship and social responsibility. He laid the foundation of the Salim Group of Enterprises and guided it to its present stature through dedication, skill, and perseverance. A master craftsman himself, he joined his father in the traditional papermaking craft at the age of 15 and played a key role in reviving and strengthening the family enterprise. Known for his philanthropic outlook, he actively contributed to community development and supported various social and charitable organizations. Sponsored by UNIDO, he traveled extensively across countries such as Japan, Finland, Czech Republic, Austria, Italy, France, Sweden, the USA, and others to study and promote the art of papermaking, helping expand the global reach and recognition of his products.
